Reklamaatio

Reclamation on the behaviour of lastminute.com with my flight-reservation at the beginning of March this year. 


On 21. of february I reserved a considerably expensive airplane ticket from Helsinki to New York. The change of planes was organized to be in Oslo and Reykjavik. The ticket was more expensive just because of lastminute.com. It isn't totally sure that my intention was to reserve the journey through this mentioned website. The first airplane departed from Helsinki on 4. of March at 11.10 am. I had so much of mental anxiety and pressure over the idea of spending ten hours on planes, so I went to speak to a doctor on the morning of 3. March. I had already written to lastminute.com's ”customercare” for four times, firstly on 26. of February and three times on 2. of March. In those messages I had already enquired about the rules of cancelling the flights and when it should be done. I have not received any response to those messages. I got a medical certification from a doctor on the morning of 3. of March. In that certification doctor told that it would be unwise for me to depart to New York on the next day with the mental anxiety and stress, which I had then. After that I made the cancellation on the lastminute.coms website. I got a possibility to attach my doctor's notice to attachments in the cancellation, which I did. The main point in the cancellation-thing is that the website directed me to chat on site, and I waited considerable time for customer service, which didn't show up in any way, there were no-one at place. I had, at least I assumed, that I had done the cancellation properly and in reasonable time, but the lack of customer service prevented it, I reckon. The refund must be totally same as I have paid (765 euros) as I have only received 48 euros at this moment from this considerably expensive flight. And as I have at least tried to cancel the flight in orthodox time structure. Also I had tried to solve the rules for cancelling the flights for many days earlier than 3. March, and to those messages I had not any response. I have doctor's notice of my absence from those flights. It will solve the issue also with Insurance company. I have If-travel insurance. Medical certification written by my doctor isn't in any way a whim, because I have had my mental illnesss for years and symptoms are greater in some moments. For me it was wise to cancel the flights and going to New York in some another time. I want to have a total refund from my flights, of which I still have 717 euros as open receivables.
