Vetoomus

I hope this message will be delivered to Foreign Minister Haavisto, President Putin of Russia and the Secretary General of the United Nations. I have sent this appeal to all of them. --------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my private appeal for saving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers in the Mariupol's Azovstal Iron Works The Azov Regiment and other troop units have courageously defended their own land and blood in Mariupol like any other people would do for their own native land - in any part of the planet. Their lives cannot be sacrificed just because of that they have managed to cling to their lives fighting valorously until now. My family heritage consists of many soldiers and families of soldiers whose blood has been spilled over many different countries and battlefields over many centuries for many different warlords and kings. I have learned from my family history, how mother's have cried and suffered for their deceased sons. One of my forefather, Wolter Magnus von der Pahlen, was killed in Napue, Finlands Osthrobotnia, during the Great Nordic War in 1714. He got over fifty wounds in himself before he struggled to his death. Also in this war – Russia was the other contestant. Russia has the defining role over world peace. Many Russians feel that the war cannot be continued with this kind of a non-humanitarian manner and with these atrocities commenced even towards peaceful civilians. During one part of history, mostly in the nineteenth-century, my forefathers battled under the flag of Imperial Russia. Almost all of them have managed to return home safely. One of my relatives was August Henrik von Schrowe who was wounded in the War between Russia and Turkey in the 1870s. His nurse was Florence Nightingale. He gave her a Finnish version of the New Testament as a gift for her capability of saving the lives of hundreds of soldiers after they were casted towards ultimate death and nursed back to life because of her. Ukrainian soldiers trapped in the Azovstal Iron Works deserve a new chance for their lives, like my relative was spared by this phenomenon of a woman who has later become sort of a legend. Please, use extraction if needed. Deliver them to a third country. I have written this in sincerity as a private Finnish person from Tampere in Finland whose social consciousness has been heightened for the desperate and agonizing fight between two brother nations. Yours sincerely,' Olli von Becker
